1. Before proceeding to the BPI branch near you, it is important to make sure that all of your requirements are ready. The first thing you need are your 2 valid IDs. These could be any of the following: Company or School ID, Passport, Driver’s License, NBI clearance, Police or Barangay Clearance, SSS or GSIS ID, Voter’s ID, Postal ID, and other government issued IDs.

You have to make sure that your photo in these IDs are clear, and they should be original. They must also be issued by an official authority, and should still be valid and not expired. You may also need to submit a utility bill that is not necessarily under your name. This is just going to be used to verify your billing address. Lastly, you need to submit your 2×2 or 1×1 ID picture as part of the requirements, and your initial deposit. The amount that you need to pay will depend on which type of deposit account you will be opening, but the officer should be able to explain this to you.

2. As soon as everything is ready when it comes to your requirements, you may now proceed to a BPI branch nearest your location. Go to the new accounts section and let them know that you are opening a savings account. After which, you will be required to accomplish an application form, which you need to accurately fill out.

3. After filling out the application, the teller will process your application. As soon as it is completed, the account will be active within 24 hours, but you may be advised to wait for 3 to 5 business days for the actual ATM card.
